1. Fake chips and low-end chips
The core of LED lamps is chip, which directly determines the performance of lamps!However, some undesirable manufacturers take advantage of customers’ unprofessionalism and consider from the cost, use low-price chips, so that customers can buy low-quality products with high unit price and cause direct economic losses, and cause serious quality hidden trouble to LED lamps.
2. Configure false standard and exaggerate configuration parameters
The popularity of LED street lamps is also accompanied by the reduction of price and profit. The fierce competition also leads to the situation that many LED street lamp manufacturers start to cut corners and make false standards of product parameters, and the wattage of the light source and even the material used for the light pole are in problems.Of course, this is also the result of customers’ repeated comparison of prices and low requirements, which is also related to the practices of some manufacturers.
3. Poor heat dissipation design and unreasonable configuration
In terms of heat dissipation design, every 10 degree increase in the PN junction temperature of LED chips will lead to a multiple decrease in the life of semiconductor devices.Due to the high brightness requirements of LED street lamps and harsh operating environment, if the heat dissipation is not solved properly, LED aging will be rapidly caused and the stability will be reduced.In addition, the unreasonable configuration often leads to the specific use of the expected value.
4.Copper wire masquerades as gold
Many LED manufacturers are trying to develop copper alloys, gold-coated silver alloy wires, and silver alloy wires to replace expensive gold wires.Although these alternatives are superior to gold wire in some properties, they are much less stable in terms of chemical stability. For example, silver wire and gold-coated silver alloy wire are prone to sulfur/chlorine/bromination corrosion, while copper wire is prone to oxidation and sulfidation.These alternatives make bonded filaments more susceptible to chemical corrosion, reduce the reliability of the light source, last longer, and make LED beads more susceptible to breakage and dead lights, for encapsulated silica gel similar to an absorbent sponge.
